Enrico Schleiff re-elected Vice President of Goethe University

April 2015. Enrico Schleiff was re-elected as Vice President of Goethe University Frankfurt and joins the new executive board of the University alongside his colleagues Manfred Schubert-Zsilavecz and Brigitte Haar. The three were elected on 29 April 2015 in the first ballot by the majority of the extended University Senate, confirming the nominations of the University's new President, Professor Birgitta Wolff. First elected Vice President of the University in April 2012, Enrico Schleiff has strongly promoted the careers of young academics, including supporting the GRADE graduate school, developing a tenure track concept and promoting joint PhD projects with universities of applied sciences. In his new three-year term Enrico Schleiff will be responsible for the resorts promotion of young researchers and infrastructure.



Enrico Schleiff has been Professor of Molecular Cell Biology of Plants in the Institute of Molecular Biosciences at Goethe University and a member of CEF since 2007. He served as executive director of the Center of Membran Proteomics from 2009 to 2012 and is director of the Buchmann Institute for Molecular Life Sciences since 2014. Enrico Schleiff also serves on the boards of CEF and the SFB Molecular Mechanisms of RNA-based Regulation.
