Harald Schwalbe becomes new CEF Director

 

The CEF Assembly elected Harald Schwalbe to follow into Werner Müller-Esterl's footsteps from February 2009. He is Professor of Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the Goethe University since 2002 and has been deputy director of the CEF since 2006. In addition Harald Schwalbe has coordinated five EU programmes, heads the SFB 579 and was Managing Director of the Center for Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance from 2002-2006. Harald Schwalbe was a Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology prior to taking up a position in Frankfurt.
