Sir Hans Krebs Prize for Ivan Dikic

Ivan Dikic has won the Sir Hans Krebs Preis 2009 for the research showing that the proteasome subunit Rpn13 is a novel ubiquitin receptor. The 10.000 Euro prize was awarded by the Gesellschaft der Freunde der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover e.V. on 4 November 2009.

The prize is named after the biochemist and medical doctor Sir Hans Adolf Krebs (1900 - 1981). who received the 1953 Nobel Prize in Medicine for  the elucidation of the citric acid cycle (also widely known as the Krebs Cycle).
