New fundamental findings in mitochondrial biology

Andreas Reichert and colleagues from Munich, Berlin and Ottawa report in the Journal of Cell Biology that the formation of cristae and crista junctions in mitochondria depends on antagonism between the membrane protein Fcj1 and the F₁F₀-ATP synthase subunits e/g.
