Call for Applications for CEF Adjunct Investigator Status
The Cluster of Excellence Frankfurt “Macromolecular Complexes” (CEF) invites applications from researchers in Frankfurt for CEF Adjunct Investigatorships.
The Cluster has set up and run a successful Adjunct Investigator Programme over the past three years supporting 10 mostly junior scientists at the University of Frankfurt and the Max Planck Society.
Adjunct Investigators complement the Faculty of CEF Investigators. They will receive substantial research funding of up to € 100,000 per year for an initial two-year period, with the possibility of extension upon evaluation. The Adjunct Investigators will be members of the CEF Assembly that coordinates the research and teaching activities of the Cluster.
Eligible are outstanding scientists below W3 level pursuing independent research in an area relevant to the Cluster at the participating university faculties and research institutes in Frankfurt. Applications from junior researchers and from female scientists are especially encouraged.
Applications will be evaluated by the CEF directors and the members of the CEF Scientific Advisory Board. Final decisions will be made by the CEF Assembly. The selection will be based strictly on scientific excellence.
Applications should include a one-page CV, complete list of publications, pdf files of the three most important papers, a two-page summary of research achievements and a three-page statement of scientific objectives and interests for the next two to three years. Applications should be directed by e-mail to the directors of the CEF at office@cef-mc.de.
The deadline for complete applications is 21 September 2009.
